I decided to participate in the Take It Off Program in September 2007. At the time my feeling was that this was probably what I needed to complement all the hard work I had done at the gym for over a year and a half. Exercise alone just didn’t seem to work for me. It didn’t help that I would go home and consume as much or more calories then what I’d burn at the gym. I’ve tried many ways to lose weight and I’ve been successful a few times to gain it back. I’ve come to realize that for me, successful weight loss comes with the combination of exercise and balanced nutrition.

When I joined, I knew that within a month I would have the challenge of going away on vacation for 10 days and still have to deal with the “diet.” This is when I decided that there would always be something standing in my way. It was time to commit. I’m so glad I did because I managed to lose 20.5 pounds in 12 weeks. Let me say that it felt so good to begin shopping for smaller clothes. I even lost some weight while on vacation in October!!!!  I was really happy when I only gained half a pound on a 10 day cruise in October-and we all know how they feed you on a cruise. Doing the program was not difficult. Like all weight loss programs, this one also required some planning. I really believe that if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. I’m grateful that Patty has provided this service along with support for the members of our club.

To anyone who is trying to decide whether or not to try it, I say “Don’t wait another day. Do it yourself. It cost more to lose the weight in terms of health issues, self-confidence and pride in yourself.” I know I can do it with the Take It Off Weight Loss Program, exercise and Patty’s constant support. Thanks for everything Patty.
